Some weeks ago we reported about the possibilities of workplace learning. Now we would like to deal with a concrete action, namely “performance support”.
Using performance support gives employees the opportunity to learn self-organized at their workplace. Therefore they should be able to access knowledge on demand. Thus, knowledge can be acquired, transferred and used in practice without any interruption of their working processes.
This requires a successfully implemented knowledge management with which learning content can be accessed through search and filter functions at any time. Therefore it will be necessary that sufficient learning content in the form of text, image or video content are available on demand.
